YKPA helps street children in Bali.
We provide shelter for sick, tired, or traumatized children, usually against the orders of their boss. We provide a caring home, schooling, and a new life, currently for 12 children in the orphanage. For children not yet able to leave the streets, we offer reading and math classes on a tarp at the beach
Underlying all our work is HIV and abuse prevention; the hope of stopping young girls becoming prostitutes, and teens becoming begging 'bosses' of their younger siblings.
YKPA needs help to continue and to grow. Funds for basic needs are not sure, there are many more children needing help, and projects aimed at prevention require funds. YKPA is an Indonesian non-profit organization and is non-denominational.
MISSION: To give loving support, education, care, and skills for disadvantaged children to have the opportunity of a satisfying and productive life as good citizens
